See Board of directors. on Wednesday night appointed 12 people to a Citizens Oversight Committee for Measure C bond funds. The board appointed everyone who applied for the committee after the $82.1 million bond was passed in November under Proposition 39. The money will be used for much-needed construction of new facilities and renovation of the college campus. Under the law, the district is required to appoint a committee to oversee the money, ensuring that revenues are expended on projects specified in the bond measure, and that bond funds are not spent on teacher or administrator salaries or operating expenses Operating expenses The amount paid for asset maintenance or the cost of doing business, excluding depreciation.
