12 APPLY TO FILL VACANCY ON SCHOOL DISTRICT PANEL.Byline: Karen Maeshiro Daily News Staff Writer Twelve people have applied to fill the vacancy on the Antelope Valley Union High School District The Antelope Valley Union High School District (A.V.U.H.S.D.) is located in the Antelope Valley area of California, in northern Los Angeles County. The district includes eight public high schools, one trade school, and two continuation high schools in the cities of Palmdale board left by the death of board President Tony Welch. The board will hold a special meeting Wednesday to interview the candidates and select one who will fill out Welch's term, which expires in November 1997.
