1105 Media Inc. to Acquire Post Newsweek Tech Media.


CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- 1105 Media, Inc., announced today it has reached agreement with The Washington Post Company to acquire its government publishing and events group, Post Newsweek Tech Media, which includes Government Computer News (GCN GCN Government Computer News

This new family of products will provide the largest combined reach into the complex government marketplace, with more than 240,000 government subscribers and government channel decision makers. The combined group will be renamed the 1105 Government Information Group, and will be led by Anne Armstrong Anne L. Armstrong (b. December 27, 1927) is a United States diplomat, politician, and the first female Counselor to the President; she served in that capacity under both the Ford and Nixon administrations. She was also the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. , currently publisher of 1105's FCW Media Group.
