11 boys ill in bug riddle.

MORE than 10 sick teenagers remained in hospital last night after their school closed due to a mystery illness.

Eighteen boys aged between 15 and 17 from St Corbin's CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) See cell broadcast. , Naas, Co Kildare, were admitted to Naas General Hospital Naas General Hospital is located in Craddockstown, Naas in County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. It provides acute hospital services for the population of County Kildare and western County Wicklow.  on Thursday after contracting the suspected virus.

Dr Paul Stewart, of South Western Area Health Board, said: "Seven have been released and the remaining students are all recovering in hospital.

"They all appear to have been affected by some kind of viral infection viral infection,
n an infection by a pathogenic virus. A virus acts on the cell nucleus, taking over the genetic material within the nucleus and replicating itself.
, which has caused the school to shut indefinitely."

Concern grew when scores of boys came down with sore throats, headaches and high temperatures.

On Thursday morning 30 pupils fell ill and it was decided to close the school until at least Monday.
