10pc salary decrease for ministers.


The council of ministers of the Kurdistan Region has decided to decrease the salary of ministers and senior officials in the Kurdistan Region by 10 percent in an attempt to reduce the gap between the income of normal employees and high-level officials.

"The council of ministers approved the move," the prime minister's office said.

Meanwhile, the KRG has decided to reduce the spending of the ministers in the new cabinet.

The Kurdistani Prime minister said that his government was committed to the promises they had made to voters during the elections.

Another important topic of the meeting was preparing the region's budget within a month in order to be sent to parliament for approval.
