Bohemia He was born in Cowcliffe and started work at Glendennings Textiles at the age of 13. He later worked for Wm Thompsons Worsted Manufacturers until retirement in 1975. At the start of World War II, Mr Dyson joined the army and served with the RASC RASC Royal Astronomical Society of Canada RASC Reconfigurable Application Specific Computing RASC Royal Army Service Corps (British) RASC Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (UK) Regiment, serving in India, Iraq and Burma. As a young man he played rugby league for a local amateur team, Leeds Road Under 21's who won four local cups in the 1929 season. Norman's wife Kathleen died in 2001 aged 93 years. They were keen caravanners and both strong supporters of Huddersfield RLFC RLFC Rochester Lead Free Coalition (Rochester, New York) (Fartown).
