10-YR-OLD IN JEWELLERY ROBBERY; Ring raiders dupe store.

A WOMAN took a 10-year-old boy with her as she swiped pounds 2500 of jewellery.

They went into the shop with a man, who distracted an assistant while the woman snatched a full tray of rings.

Police in Fife were last night hunting the couple, who are believed to have been eastern European.

The theft happened at Winskis jewellers in Cowdenbeath on Thursday The man asked to see some jewellery in the window. His female accomplice - with the boy in tow - then walked into a private area of the shop and grabbed a pad containing 14 gold rings.

Owner James Pye said yesterday: "It was only at the end of the day that we noticed a pad was missing."

 footage. The thieves got into a grey Honda Accord and headed towards the Kincardine Bridge after the incident last Thursday afternoon.

The middle-aged man was 6ft and wore a blue and white striped shirt and blue jeans. The middle-aged woman was about 5ft 5in and wore a black and white striped T-shirt and a gypsy-style dress.
