However, improvement doesn't automatically mean spending cash for new equipment or technology. Several adjustments can be made to your daily operation to save money, improve the quality of your pours and increase your operation's efficiency. "In this day and age, I feel that the melting/molding departments really need to emphasize strict adherence to procedures," said Jason Place, Ohio Aluminum Industries Inc., Cleveland.
