William John Bennett (born July 31, 1943) is a American conservative pundit and politician. He served as United States Secretary of Education from 1985 to 1988.
 spelled out "10 signs of a good school." Using quotes from the country's Founding Fathers and present-day administrators who are making positive changes, Bennett explained the signs:
