Toss with a store-bought ranch, blue cheese or other dressing of your choice. Expand the recipe and ingredients amounts to serve any number of diners desired. This salad is convenient - and great tasting. ITALIAN STYLE TURKEY AND PASTA Cook as much of your favorite pasta as desired in boiling salted water; drain well. Meanwhile, heat up some jarred Italian pasta sauce (pick from the many brands and styles in the supermarket) on top of the stove or in the microwave oven until hot. Stir in some chopped fresh basil and red wine, if desired. When hot, stir in some sliced ripe olives and julienne strips of cooked turkey. Serve the sauce over the hot drained pasta. Accompany with an antipasto salad platter. Your family will love it. GOBBLE 1. gobble - To consume, usually used with "up". Bake in a preheated 475-degree oven 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and hot. Check after 10 minutes to avoid overbaking. Wait a few minutes before cutting into slices. Make as many pizzas as needed as needed prn. See prn order. to satisfy hungry diners. QUICK TURKEY MAC Here's an old standby that's a breeze to prepare on short notice. Prepare a package of macaroni macaroni: see pasta. and cheese (Kraft, please) according to according to prep. 1. As stated or indicated by; on the authority of: according to historians. 2. Then stir in 2 to 3 tablespoons dry sherry, a cup or two of diced, cooked turkey and 2 cups frozen peas or frozen peas and carrots, thawed. Heat through and serve immediately. A tossed green salad is all you need for a go-along - and dinner's on. TALKING TURKEY TOSTADAS In a large skillet, cook 1 onion, chopped, in 1 tablespoon hot oil, until golden. Stir in 1 can (16 ounces) tomato sauce or undrained diced cut-up tomatoes, 1 can (16 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained, 2 teaspoons EACH ground cumin and chili powder (OR more to taste) and several dashes garlic powder. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors. Stir in 1 to 2 cups diced cooked turkey. Heat 3 to 4 minutes, until turkey is hot. Spoon some of mixture onto a dinner plate, then top with shredded lettuce and sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped green onions and chopped tomatoes. Top with a dollop of sour cream, guacamole and salsa. Use store-bought guacamole and salsa or make your own. Serve immediately; pass extra salsa. TURKEY QUESADILLAS Quesadillas are the ultimate fast food cooked at home. For each one, lay out a flour tortilla and top half of it with shredded Cheddar cheese or whatever cheese you happen to have in the fridge. Then top cheese with a sprinkling of diced green chiles or a few dollops of salsa. Sprinkle with some finely chopped cooked turkey pieces and fold over. Spray a large skillet with non-stick spray and heat until hot. (Or you can use a tablespoon or so of oil heated until hot). Add filled, folded over tortilla and cook on each side until golden, watching carefully. If you have a problem getting the cheese melted, add a lid and heat a minute or two. Remove from skillet to dinner plate; cut into wedges and serve immediately with sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side. Vary the filling as desired for different quesadilla que·sa·dil·la n. Stir in chopped green onions or chopped leeks, chopped carrots and chopped red bell pepper. Cook, stirring often, over medium heat until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes. Then stir in canned chicken broth in the amount desired, lots of chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, frozen, thawed corn and minced garlic. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Stir in garlic pepper and seasoned salt to taste. If a thicker soup is desired, stir in some canned tomato paste. Stir in chopped, cooked turkey and heat through.
