The Spanish giants are playing Shamrock shamrock, a plant with leaves composed of three leaflets. According to legend it was used by St. Patrick in explaining the doctrine of the Trinity; it is now used as the emblem of Ireland. An artificial or real shamrock leaf is customarily worn on St. Patrick's Day.  Rovers in a friendly at Tallaght Stadium Tallaght Stadium is a municipal stadium currently under construction in Tallaght in South Dublin County, Ireland. It was originally proposed to create a new Football (soccer) stadium for Shamrock Rovers. The design allows for a capacity for 6,000 all seated spectators.  on Monday, July 20.

And the frantic scramble for tickets will get under way at 9am this morning.

The fixture was finally confirmed yesterday and temporary seats will be put in place to boost capacity.

Tallaght only has one stand at present - and capacity for league games is restricted to 3,500.

A second grandstand is under construction and will double the attendance when opened in August.

But the Hoops secured temporary seating to bring the capacity for next month's glamour friendly to 9,000.

And that will jump to 10,200 if extra seats are allowed on the far side of the ground.

Rovers chairman Jonathan Roche said: "This is a dream for any club. Our fans have had a long wait to become established in a new home and now we are hosting the biggest club in the world."

Real's director general Jorge Valdano said: "We are delighted to be travelling to Ireland for this important part of our pre-season training."
