, an affiliate of Citi Habitats, Inc., announced that S.W. Bach W. Bach could refer to:
  • Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, son of Johann Sebastian Bach.
  • Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst Bach, his nephew and grandson of Johann Sebastian Bach.
 & Company has leased 10,729 s/f of "Class A" office space on the 36th floor of 2 World Financial Center in the Financial District. The company has signed a 10-year sublease sublease n. the lease of all or a portion of premises by a tenant who has leased the premises from the owner. A sublease may be prohibited by the original lease, or require written permission from the owner.  at the property.

The tenant, S.W. Bach, was represented by Michael Forrest of CH Commercial Real Estate Group, an affiliate of Citi Habitats, Inc. The building is owned by Brookfield Financial Properties and the transaction is a sublease from Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MER TYO: 8675 ), through its subsidiaries and affiliates, provides capital markets services, investment banking and advisory services, wealth management, asset management, insurance, banking and related products and services on a global basis.  & Co., Inc. Merrill Lynch was represented by Cynthia Wasserberger, Frank A. Cento, and Edward DiTolla of Jones Lang LaSalle Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) is a major real estate and money management services firm headquartered in the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois and the only company in its industry making it into Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S. .

Michael Forrest, executive managing director of CH Commercial, said, "2 World Financial Center is a unique property and one that met all of S.W. Bach's technical and quality of life desires. The company examined spaces throughout Midtown and Downtown but ultimately wanted to be a part of the revitalization that is taking place in the Financial District."

The leased space will serve as a new office expansion for S.W. Bach which also has a location at 675 Third Ave.

In establishing an office in the Financial District, the company was eligible for the Small Firm Attraction and Retention Grant administered by the Empire State Development Corporation.

Jones Lang LaSalle's DiTolla, said, "While S.W. Bach considered spaces throughout the city for its expansion, the firm chose to return to the Financial District to renew its commitment to the revitalization of Lower Manhattan Lower Manhattan is the southernmost part of the island of Manhattan, the main island and center of business and government of the City of New York. Lower Manhattan is generally defined as the area delineated on the north by Chambers Street, on the west by the Hudson River (North . In addition, Merrill Lynch's space was already designed for the needs of a financial services firm."
