1.4 MILLION TOURISTS IN 1998.More than 1.4 million tourists visited the island of Cuba in 1998, adding an estimated US$1.8 billion to the economy, reports Radio Havana Havana (həvăn`ə), Span. Most tourists came from Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Britain and Mexico. Cuba currently has a total of 28,000 hotel rooms.
