1-800-Video-on! Chooses Accord's MGC-100 MCU to Provide Enhanced Offerings of Continuous Presence and Transcoding Services.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1997--1-800-Video-on! announced today that it has officially purchased two MGC-100 Multipoint Gateway & Control systems from Accord Video Telecommunications. One system has already been delivered and is currently in production and the second system will be delivered in December 1997. The order totals over one half of one million dollars.

In May 1997, the two companies announced a strategic relationship combining the conferencing service expertise of 1-800-Video-on! together with Accord's new generation MGC-100 Multipoint Control Unit See MCU.  (MCU (1) (MicroController Unit) A computer on a single chip. See microcontroller.

1-800-Video-on! has been using the Accord MGC-100 since June 1997 to offer enhanced continuous presence and transcoding services to their customers.
