1-800-ByOwner.com(R) Partners with Complete Appliance Protection to Offer Home Warranties to By Owner market in the States of AK, CO, KS, IL, MO, MT, NE, NJ, PA.

TOPEKA, Kansas -- 1-800-ByOwner.com(R) has selected Complete Appliance Protection (the CAP program) as their partner for offering home warranties to By Owner (FSBO FSBO - For Sale By Owner) market. 1-800-ByOwner.com(R) is the World's largest private home sale service, encompassing all 50 US states and Canada. 1-800-ByOwner.com(R) offers the private home seller non-commission marketing packages that remain in place until the property sells - adjunct items and services include: signs, voicemail, home warranties, magazine ads, loans and more. The site has over 100,000 pages and has been operating since August 1988.

Kevin Wood, President of 1-800-ByOwner.com(R) says he made the selection because "the CAP program is easy to understand, has great protection, and offers greater flexibility in the length of their agreements. Beside the normal twelve month program most home warranty companies offer, CAP also has a three and six month programs that better meet the price point of our customers."

Jim Ingram, President of the CAP program says "this partnership will allow CAP the opportunity, over time, to move from a regional warranty company, currently in nine states, to a national provider of warranties."

Most Home Owner Warranty (HOW) programs, also known as Home Service Contracts, are purchased by the home owner trying to sell their house, so the buyer has some assurance that the major household appliances work (i.e. furnace, a/c, water heater, range, and dishwasher). Buyer's sometime buy the HOW themselves. If a major appliance should break down during the contracted period of time, the HOW will protect the buyer of the home. The CAP program differs from most HOW programs in that it has no deductible, no exclusions for pre-existing conditions or rust, and all parts within the sheet metal skin of the appliance are protected.

Complete Appliance Protection also provides Third Party Administration (TPA) services for gas and electric utilities, financial institutions, mortgage companies and insurance companies wishing to offer an appliance warranty program to their customers without having to worry about any of the back room operations themselves. Complete Appliance Protection currently serves Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
