1-800-AutoTow, Consolidator of America's Vehicle Towing Industry, Begins Publicly Trading.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1998--Trading began today (OTC Bulletin Board: AUTW) for 1-800-AutoTow(TM), a company in the process of rolling up America's fragmented vehicle towing industry into a national brand. Shares began trading under the symbol AUTW.

"We believe consolidation of today's $12-15 billion vehicle towing industry is the expressway to raising the industry's standards, image and profitability," said Joel Nagelmann, president and CEO of 1-800-AutoTow(TM). Similar consolidation efforts already have been proven in industries such as pharmacies, hardware stores, office supplies, waste removal, courier, funeral and ambulance services, and video rentals.

Nagelmann says 1-800-AutoTow(TM) is acquiring well-run vehicle towing companies in metropolitan areas across the country, and will consolidate their operations into a single branded identity. "Our focus is to build a quality team committed to enhancing the industry and service to our customers, while building the largest towing company in the country," said Nagelmann.

The transition to a national service for 1-800-AutoTow(TM) will include professional driver training, fleet standardization, automated 24-hour dispatching using GPS (global positioning satellite) technology, the introduction of a dedicated sales force for local and national marketing, and benefits packages designed to attract and retain quality employees.

The vehicle towing industry is believed to consist of over 36,000 towing companies nationwide, averaging six to ten trucks operating from a single location. Calls are radio-dispatched and record keeping often is done manually. The business has little time for sales and marketing, and drivers are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These inefficiencies leave customers with inconsistent service.

"The economies of scale resulting from the larger fleets we are assembling mean we can afford many operational and marketing strategies that are new to, or not generally used by the industry," said Vince Gelormine, founder and chairman of 1-800-AutoTow(TM). "We're going to implement a technology backbone, branding strategy, creative sales and marketing programs and a standardized fleet to make towing a winning proposition for both customers and towing company owners alike."

Customers will include motor clubs, car dealerships, police departments, individual car and truck owners, financial institutions, and commercial fleets for vehicle towing, transport, accident recovery and storage. Towing operators whose companies are acquired by 1-800-AutoTow(TM) are offered stock and cash, with most having the opportunity to stay on and grow with the company.

1-800-AutoTow(TM), Inc. was founded in 1997 and is based in Boynton Beach, Florida. The company's management team consists of a diverse and experienced group of entrepreneurs, senior operating executives and towing veterans with more than 60 years of combined experience in the vehicle towing industry.
