1 Million Sold Devices Shows Broad Acceptance of DECT 6.0 Wireless Phone Technology in the US.

LAS VEGAS Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  -- Only one year after the official launch of DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) A cordless phone standard mostly used in Europe; however, DECT 6.0 is increasingly used worldwide. The first DECT standards were introduced by ETSI in 1992, and DECT phones have been used as cordless home phones as  6.0 at the CES by the DECT Forum, the international association of the wireless communication industry, more than 1 million DECT 6.0 devices have been sold to US customers. DECT 6.0, the interference free wireless communication technology for family homes and small and medium sized enterprises, has become a broadly accepted technology for cordless telephony. The whole spectrum of the cordless phone A wireless telephone that transmits to and receives signals from a base station within a range of a few hundred feet. Cordless phones are for local use and cannot travel long distances as can cellphones and satellite phones. See DECT and multihandset cordless.  industry, semiconductor vendors, manufacturers, retailers, distributors and operators, have driven the successful proliferation of DECT 6.0 in the USA. DECT 6.0 is allocated in an own frequency band (1920-1930 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. ) to avoid interference with legacy products.

For US customers, family homes as well as small and medium sized companies there is already a wide choice of pioneering products available on the market currently from 35 vendors with yet more to come.

"Our forecast of 634k sold devices in 2006 needs to be confidently amended since we have almost doubled this figure of sold DECT 6.0 products in 2006", says Erich Kamperschroer, Chairman of the DECT Forum. "We are also expecting a remarkable increase in market share in 2007, 2008 and 2009 due to the fact that even more vendors will enter DECT 6.0 wireless communication products into the medium and low price market segments."

The proven and reliable DECT 6.0 technology provides all the advantages for private consumers and small and medium sized companies:

* interference free communication

* brilliant quality of voice and sound

* future IP support

"Retailers, operators, distributors and resellers have rapidly recognized the US consumer's needs for cost-effective but highly valuable products which meet modern wireless communication demands. All players in this growing market will highly benefit from better customer satisfaction, lower return rate, and higher revenue with DECT 6.0", says Erich Kamperschroer.
