1 KILLED, 2 INJURED IN CAMARILLO SHOOTING INCIDENT.

Byline: - Daily News

One man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting Saturday Saturday: see week; Sabbath.  night on a small residential street, authorities said.

Police were called just before 8:20 p.m. to the 100 block of Raemere Street, where they found one man shot dead and two others suffering gunshot wounds, said Ventura County sheriff's Sgt. Harold Hanley.

Hanley said the trio were approached by another group who pulled up in a vehicle, fired shots and then fled the scene.

Police could not say what prompted the shooting.

``We're trying to confirm whether it's gang related or not,'' said Hanley.

Hanley said the small neighborhood street is an area that has had gang- type problems and disturbances in the past, but the fatal shooting was a first in recent memory for typically quiet Camarillo Camarillo (kă'mərē`yō), city (1990 pop. 52,303), Ventura co., S Calif.; inc. 1964. It is the center of a fertile farm area where citrus fruits and flowers are grown. .

The names and ages of those shot were not immediately available, though Hanley said they all appeared to be adult men.

The shooting surprised some in the area.

``I've been working here about a year, and there's no shootings,'' said David Kaplish, a supervisor at a store in a nearby shopping plaza shopping plaza
