The 3D Center is thrilled to be invited by the Oregon Historical Society The Oregon Historical Society (OHS) is an organization that encourages and promotes the study and understanding of the history of the Oregon Country, within the broader context of U.S. history.  to produce an exhibition on the history of stereoscopy Stereoscopy

The phenomenon of simultaneous vision with two eyes, producing a visual experience of the third dimension, that is, a vivid perception of the relative distances of objects in space.
, 1838 - present. With hundreds of objects from the 3D Center's collection and private lenders, the exhibition will be organized in sections including: Early stereo and golden age of the stereo card; View-Master; 3D Cinema; the Realist era; Aerial and Scientific, and Contemporary. The exhibition will be at the Oregon Historical Society, in downtown Portland, March 12 - September 6th, 2009. For complete information on location and open hours go to http://www.ohs.org.
