1 ARREST, 24 AUTOS TOWED IN LATE-NIGHT CHECKPOINT.

PALMDALE Palmdale, city (1990 pop. 68,842), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the irrigated Antelope Valley; a growing residential suburb of Los Angeles near Little Rock Creek where it forms Lake Palmdale Reservoir, inc. 1962.  - One motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and 24 vehicles were towed because their drivers didn't have licenses or for other violations at a late-night checkpoint (programming) checkpoint - Saving the current state of a program and its data, including intermediate results, to disk or other non-volatile storage, so that if interrupted the program could be restarted at the point at which the last checkpoint occurred. , sheriff's deputies said Saturday.

Deputies said 485 vehicles went through the checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday on Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling  north of Palmdale Boulevard.

Deputies said they gave sobriety tests to three motorists, one of whom was arrested. They also ticketed 27 drivers for not having licenses, two for expired ex·pire

 vehicle registration and three for not having insurance.

One motorist was ticketed for not having a child in a safety seat.
