1,500 Bricks En Route to Congress to Protest Immigration Policies; Send-A-Brick Project Building Foundation for Symbolic Border Wall.


DENTON, Texas Denton is a city in the United States and the county seat of Denton County, Texas. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the city population was 80,537, making it the eleventh largest city in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.  -- The Send-A-Brick Project today announced that more than 1,500 masonry bricks have been ordered from the organization's Web site as thousands of citizens begin to exercise their constitutional right to protest immigration policies An immigration policy is any policy of a state that affects the transit of persons across its borders, but especially those that intend to work and to remain in the country. . At the same time, hundreds of bricks have already been delivered to Capitol Hill, sending the message that current border policies are inadequate.

The Send-A-Brick.com Web site enables visitors to send a brick through an online ordering and shipping engine that turns "clicks to bricks" in only a few minutes. The site publishes the current total of brick orders at http://send-a-brick.com/buybricks.shtml. The total as of Noon today was more than 1,568.

--A security wall along the entire southern border

--Better technology for customs and border operations

--More funding and personnel for the U.S. Border Patrol

--An overall increased security presence on our southern border.
