1,350-ACRE RESORT COMMUNITY.

Florida-based Terrabrook Communities is developing a 1,350-acre planned community in Luquillo, on the island's northeast coast, reports Caribbean Business (January 21, 1999). The project may also include a Four Seasons Hotel, depending upon financing and permit approvals, says company vice president Rick Mildner, who adds that other phases could include homes, a condo-hotel, a time share development and two golf courses. Terrabrook owns one of the three tracts of land that would comprise the project. The other two tracts belong to the Zalduando family and the Commonwealth Government. Terrabrook acquired its 430-acre tract from American General Corp. about 18 months ago. More concrete plans are expected in three to four months, says Mildner.
