1,000 miles walker Dun good so far; CHARITY.Byline: AIDAN McGURRAN EX-CHAMPION jockey Richard Dunwoody yesterday completed the first 48 hours of his incredible bid to walk 1,000 miles in 1,000 hours. Dunwoody, 45, will attempt his marathon over 42 days and nights, echoing a famous bet won by Captain Robert Barclay Robert Barclay (December 23, 1648 – October 3, 1690), one of the most eminent writers belonging to the Religious Society of Friends and a member of the Clan Barclay. Biography Barclay was born at Gordonstoun in Moray, Scotland. His father Col. in 1809. Daily Mirror racing columnist Dunwoody was challenged to attempt the feat by Stephen Wallis Stephen "Wally" Wallis (born 27 October 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League (formerly the VFL). Originally from Leongatha, Victoria, Wallis arrived at the Footscray Football Club in 1982 and suffered an injury in a reserves game , managing director of Newmarket Racecourse. To do it, he walks a one-mile circuit from the town's Bedford Lodge Hotel to the racecourse 1,000 times.
