1,000 kids tuning up for musical 'finale'.

A finale (italian word) is a closing part, act or movement of a dramatic or musical composition, or more generally any event or procedure with a dramatically concluding effect.
 Concerts and workshops.

The three-year project, designed by The Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts, introduces youngsters to classical music and encourages teachers to use music in everyday practice.

It is funded by the Classic FM Music Makers charity and supported by Yamaha Music UK and Classic FM.

The national project is drawing to the close of its second year with a series of five regional finale concerts, one of which is at Middlesbrough Town Hall at 1.30pm on Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning workshops will be delivered by members of the Philharmonia Orchestra to children at Ayresome, Breckon Hill, Easterside, Norton, Pentland, Sacred Heart The Sacred Heart is a religious devotion to Jesus' physical heart as the representation of the divine love for humanity

This devotion is predominantly used in the Roman Catholic Church and also used in the Anglican Church.

Foundation chairman Rick Wills said the idea was to "bring classical music to life for a new generation."
