The 1 p.m. game Saturday against San Bernardino Valley The San Bernardino Valley is the hub of Southern California's Inland Empire. It is drained by the Santa Ana River. ``The last few years we played close games,'' coach Brent Carder said. ``But they came out out on top. It's a game we certainly want to win.''

San Bernardino Valley (2-7, 2-5) has lost four of its last five games. The team's offense is ranked seventh overall in the nine-team conference and fourth overall defensively. A bright spot for the Indians is the team's rushing defense ranked third allowing only 139 yards a game.

They will face a Marauders offense that has gotten a spark in sophomore Chad Chad (chăd, chäd), Fr. In the victory over Victor Valley, turnovers again were the factor. The team recovered three of Victor Valley's fumbles and lost only two. Sophomore Eric Prevost also had an interception in the win.

``We got turnovers and capitalized. Consequently that's why we won the ballgame,'' Carder said.
