In Wichita Falls, Texas Wichita Falls is a city in Wichita County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 104,197. It is the principal city of the Wichita Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Archer, Clay and Wichita counties. , on the night of September 19, a patron at the Homewood Suites hotel went to her van to get her sinus medication. There she was approached by a man who asked her, "Do you have anything good in that van?" reported the Times Record News.

She said yes, moved to the passenger side of the van, and pulled her gun. When the man opened a pocketknife, she pointed her gun at him and asked, "Are you really sure you want to do whatever you're going to do?" The man fled.
