) customer services group focused on providing pre-sales information on contacts, installation charges and tariffing, and installation services and support for ISDN. ISDN provisioning services are now being offered by the I-Team for large and small businesses, home offices and home users.

Since the I-Team was introduced in June 1995, it has been participating in the design of installation programs for U.S. Robotics (U.S. Robotics, Inc., Schaumburg, IL, www.usr.com) A modem manufacturer highly regarded for its quality products. The company manufactures its own chipsets (data pumps) and often leads with innovations. Its HST protocol was a high-speed, reliable protocol before V.  ISDN products, and working to make obtaining and installing ISDN products as simple as possible.

"A person or company can call the I-Team with the locations that need connections to ISDN service, and we'll provide a complete program of value-added services to help them meet their requirements," said Al Huefner, vice president of customer services for U.S. Robotics' Network Systems Division. "We're working with local exchange and long distance carriers to determine the availability of ISDN and to help make it a reality in places where it currently doesn't exist."

New Toll-Free Phone Number for I-Team

The I-Team and the ISDN Provisioning Center are now accessible through a new toll-free number: 1-888-USR-ISDN. The I-Team will determine the availability of Basic Rate Interface (BRI See ISDN.

All of these services are offered for a nominal charge.

I-Team Offers Additional Value-Added Services

The I-Team also is responsible for verifying that U.S. Robotics' products are interoperable with ISDN products from other manufacturers. In addition, it provides reprovisioning services for customers who later determine that they need to change their ISDN phone-line configuration. For customers who need large-scale ISDN services, the I-Team is offering an array of service packages to plan and implement ISDN.

The ISDN Provisioning Center provides services worldwide, and improves the efficiency of customers needing ISDN at multiple locations. Here's how: Through its relationships with regional and local phone companies, the I-Team can establish a telecommuting telecommuting, an arrangement by which people work at home using a computer and telephone, transmitting work material to a business office by means of a modem and telephone lines; it is also known as telework.  program for a customer who needs, for example, 100 BRI ISDN lines in 10 cities. A company, acting alone, would have to place calls to each of the phone companies instead of just one call to the I-Team.

"The ISDN Provisioning Center is an outstanding service, and it's what makes U.S. Robotics stand out above the crowd in the ISDN market," said Chuck Viator, network manager for C.C. Although politically independent of the surrounding county, the City of Fairfax is nevertheless its county seatGR6. . "I purchased the U.S. Robotics Courier I-Modem for many reasons, but as it turned out, the best feature was the provisioning support the I-Team provided."
