The new series and programs, produced by Adina Neufeld, will premiere as an essential element of the scheduled upgrade to the Streamedia Networks. The upgrade will incorporate substantial aesthetic and technological improvements to the Networks. Management reports that the current development cycle is on schedule for the second quarter of this year.

As representatives from iVillage Inc. (NASDAQ: IVIL - news) have recently noted in interviews with CNN, women have clearly embraced the Web as a primary source of information.

Streamedia's Women on the Edge will not only present essential factual information vital to every woman's life, but also go further by featuring proprietary Streamedia productions of dynamic content showcasing the expertise, talents, and accomplishments of women on the cutting edge of their professions.

Women on the Edge will offer unique profiles of not only women in the news, but also the unsung heroines of our day.

The first of the projects in final production is an example of the unique, high quality, informative programming to be aired on the Women on the Edge Network. Streamedia has collaborated with one of the six vanguard national centers designated by the Office on Women's Health, U.S. Department of Health and Services.

The result is Women's Health 2000, presented in cooperation with the University of California at San Francisco's National Center of Excellence in Women's Health, the Mount Zion Health Fund, and the UCSF Obstetrics and Gynecology Research and Education Foundation.

This extensive Web series, taped at the March 2000 conference, will focus on many of the major health issues concerning women, such as heart disease, weight control, fitness, breast cancer, and sexual health and well-being, including alternative approaches such as herbal remedies.

Other segments will cover issues of finance and personal empowerment, such as negotiation strategy and women's entitlement to Social Security benefits. Broadcast footage will feature numerous noted medical professionals specializing in women's health who presented at the popular UCSF Women's Health 2000 Conference.

The second project currently in production is a series of video profiles saluting the winners of 12th Annual Gloria Steinem Awards, which will be presented by the Ms. Foundation for Women at an awards dinner on May 22, 2000.

This year's award theme is "A National Salute to Women of Vision," paying tribute to four of America's brightest leaders, symbols of the girls and young women who will guide us in a new and complex century.

Streamedia will profile this year's award winners: Que Dang, Director of Asians and Pacific Islanders for Reproductive Health; Amara Perez and Lakita Logan, Directors of Sisters in Action for Power; and Shelley Gaines, Director of The Girls Resiliency Project.

The third series in production showcases work from the 2000 Women in the Director's Chair (WIDC) International Film and Video Festival. This is the largest and longest-running women directors festival in the country. WIDC is a not-for-profit media arts organization dedicated to promoting visibility for women media artists.

WIDC's mission is to support and exhibit alternative media works that defy the demeaning stereotypes perpetuated by mainstream media and provide more complex and authentic images of women's lives. WIDC also serves as a network where independent women media artists share ideas, skills, and opportunities.

Streamedia's Women on the Edge will present selected films from the 2000 festival in Chicago, in addition to exclusive interviews with their directors.
