(SPO) TURKISH WRESTLER WINS GOLD IN MEDITERRANEAN GAMES.


PESCARA, Jun 27, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- A Turkish wrestler won a gold medal gold medal

Seref Tufenk of Turkey, competing in 74 kilograms, became the gold medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 16th Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy.

Four other Turkish wrestlers won bronze medals in the games. They are Erhan Karakus in 55 kilograms, Soner Sucu in 60 kilograms, Abdullah Coskun in 66 kilograms and Akif Canbaz in 84 kilograms.

The 16th edition of the Mediterranean Games began in Pescara, Italy on June 25 with participation of 23 countries, and will end on July 5.
