Streamedia Communications Inc., www.streamedia.net and www.streambroadcast.com (NASDAQ: SMIL - news, SMILW - news; BOS: STA, STAW), a digital media and broadband entertainment company, announces that is has acquired the noted New York boutique web design firm, Eons Ahead, Inc., a leader in New York's "intelligent design" movement.

This acquisition will expand Streamedia's capability to provide not only leading edge consumer broadcast channels and networks with highly sophisticated features, but also to provide advanced design and development capabilities for the previously announced Streamedia Digital Solutions B2B enterprise applications.

Eons Ahead was formed in November 1997 to, in the words of its founders, "campaign against a prevailing Internet atmosphere that wasn't concerned with creating quality work, and to address the need for a new type of Web site." The company's "intelligent" Web site concept integrates both on- and off-line marketing with intelligent architecture, intuition and beauty. Today, Eons Ahead offers a wide range of services including concept and interface design, e-commerce applications, Intranet/extranet design, touch screen kiosks, Flash and Shockwave presentations, and streaming media.

Eons Ahead's principals have worked with client companies including: American Express (NYSE: AXP - news), Aerosoles Group, Essence Magazine, Sbarro International, Track Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TRAC - news), The Model Network, and Columbia University.

To accommodate the Company's growth, fueled by recent acquisitions, Streamedia Communications, Inc., has expanded to a second floor at its Streaming Media Center at 244 W. 54th Street in the broadcast district of New York, adding a second 5,000 square feet to its operations.

Jason Santiago and Oleg Reznik, the founders of Eons Ahead, will join Streamedia as Vice Presidents, Web Development. Santiago is an information architect and award-winning designer, having worked with clients including American Express, BBDO, Bombardier, Columbia University, PepsiCo-LAD, and Viacom. Oleg Reznik has made a career in product development and merchandising, and consumer behavior analysis. Reznik has a successful track record of developing original content for the Internet and uniquely applying traditional merchandising strategies to the online environment.
