(EDU) TURKISH NATIONAL EDUCATION MINISTER IN IRBIL.

IRBIL, Dec 15, 2010 (TUR) -- Turkish National Education Minister Nimet Cubukcu met with several Iraqi officials after attending a conference in Iraqi city of Irbil on higher education.

The meeting took place at the Turkish Consulate General in Irbil.

Later, Cubukcu visited the Cihan University and the Fezalar University built in Irbil by Turkish companies.

She said during her visit to the universities, "these schools have become the bridges of friendship between our countries. I hope that students of these universities will undertake significant roles in development of northern Iraq after their graduation."

Cubukcu is currently paying a two-day visit to Irbil.
