(ECO) TURKISH STOCK MARKET HITS NEW RECORD HIGH.


ISTANBUL, Aug 25, 2009 (TUR) -- The Istanbul stock market sprinted to this year's new record high on Tuesday after climbing over 48,000 points since January 18, 2008.

 (IMKB IMKB Istanbul Menkul Kiymetler Borsasi (Istanbul Stock Exchange) ) National-100 index was up by 0.36 percent, or 174.46 points, and closed at 48,073.35 points.
