(ECO) CONSUMER PRICES UP BY 2.41 PERCENT IN OCTOBER.


ANKARA, Nov 3, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkey's statistics authority said Tuesday consumer prices were up by 2.41 percent in October.

Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK TUIK Türkiye Istatistik Kurumu (Turkey) ) said producer prices index rose 0.28 percent in the same period.

Annual inflation increased 5.08 percent in consumer prices index, and rose 0.19 percent in producer prices index.

Consumer prices index rose 4.64 percent and producer prices index increased 3.9 percent in the first ten months of 2009.
