(DIP) TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER OFFERS CONDOLENCES AFTER ATTACKS IN BAGHDAD.


ISLAMABAD, Oct 26, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu called his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari Hoshyar Zebari (or Hişyar Zêbarî) (born 1953) is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq. A Kurd originally from Aqrah, a city in Iraqi Kurdistan, Zebari holds a masters degree in sociology from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom and studied  and offered his condolences following Sunday's attacks.

Davutoglu, who is currently in Pakistan to accompany Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, expressed profound sorrow over killing of many people in the suicide attacks suicide attack suicide nSelbstmordanschlag m .

He also offered assistance to his Iraqi counterpart to deal with the results.

A pair of suicide car bombings in Baghdad killed at least 147 people in the country's deadliest attack in more than two years. More than 700 people were injured in the attacks targeting two government buildings.
