(DIP) TURKISH DEPUTY PREMIER TO TRAVEL TO BRITAIN.ANKARA, Sep 15, 2009 (TUR) -- Turkish Deputy Prime Minister A Deputy Prime Minister or Vice Prime Minister is, in some countries, a government minister who can take the position of acting Prime Minister when the real Prime Minister is temporarily absent. and State Minister Ali Babacan will travel to Britain on September 17. As part of his visit to this country, Babacan is scheduled to attend a formal ceremony to be held to mark the start of a new phase of cooperation between the Turkish government and South East European Studies at Oxford (SEESOX) programme of the European Studies Centre of Oxford University. Turkish-Greek relations would be high on agenda of the gathering at Oxford, officials said. After participating in the ceremony, Babacan will proceed to the British capital of London and deliver a speech on "the global economic crisis and Turkish economy" at the London School of Economics and Political Science London School of Economics and Political Science, at London, England; founded 1895, recognized as a school of the Univ. of London (see London, Univ. of) in 1900.
