 who is visiting China said Saturday that Turkey, with its democratic and secular structure, pursued a foreign policy safeguarding security and stability in its region.

Gul who was awarded with a honourary doctorate by the Xian Northwest University Northwest University may refer to:

President Gul said both Turkey and China were determined to eradicate terrorism, avoid economic protectionism protectionism

It is taking initiatives in issues regarding relations between Afghanistan-Pakistan, Israel-Syria, Azarbaijan-Armenia, Israel-Palestine, Israel-Pakistan, Iraq and Iran. Turkey's election to the UN Security Council is a sign of international community's confidence in Turkey," said Gul.
