(DIP) TURKEY BECOMES MEMBER OF UN JOINT INSPECTION UNIT.UNITED NATIONS, Nov 3, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkey became a member of the United Nations Joint Inspection Unit after receiving 146 votes in a voting at the United Nations General Assembly. " group, France was also elected member of the unit after receiving 117 votes while Spain got the lowest number of votes and could not be elected. During the voting, 186 out of 192 members of the United Nations General Assembly cast their votes.
