(DIP) MEDITERRANEAN NEWS AGENCIES GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING.



ALGIERS, Jun 23, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- The 18th general assembly meeting of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies was held in Algiers, the capital city of Algeria.

Representatives of national news agencies of 15 countries including the Anadolu Agency (A.A) of Turkey signed a final statement at the end of the meeting.

In the final statement, it was stressed that illegal migration turned into a tragedy lately, and called on all member agencies to use the most unbiased language and to show respect to common values of the humanity and human rights in news reports about illegal migration.

Meanwhile, amount of financial assistance to be given to the Palestinian national news agency WAFA WAFA Wilderness Advanced First Aid (Wilderness Medical Associates course)
WAFA World Association of Flower Arrangers
WAFA Western Australian Forest Alliance
WAFA Washington Area Finance Association
 was increased to 20 thousand USD USD
