(DIP) 'PRIVILIGED PARTNERSHIP' DOES NOT EXIST IN EU ACQUIS, PM ERDOGAN.BRUSSELS, Jun 27, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday there is no partnership arrangement called 'privileged partnership' in the EU acquis. "Our partnership with the EU is for full membership. This is what we are working for. Aside from full membership, it is impossible for us to accept any other partnership with the EU," Erdogan said. The EU must continue expansion if it wishes to be a political, social and economic power, Erdogan said. As far as the Alliance of Civilizations is concerned, cultures, religions and civilizations are all within the alliance. Our doors are open to all cultures, religions and civilizations. We support the Alliance of Civilizations to facilitate global peace, Erdogan also said.
