, Oct 5, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- The Paris Municipality will decorate Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk with the city's symbolic "Grand Medal" on Tuesday.

Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe will present the medal to Pamuk.

The Paris Municipality medal is presented to individuals who have contributed to the residents of Paris from the perspective of arts.

The Paris Municipality earlier this year presented the "Grand Medal" to Turkish photographer Ara Guler and Turkish film director Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

Orhan Pamuk was presented Nobel Prize in Literature The Nobel Prize in Literature (Swedish: Nobelpriset i litteratur) is awarded annually to an author from any country who has, in the words from the will of Alfred Nobel, produced "the most outstanding work of an idealistic tendency" (original Swedish:  in 2006.
