(CUL) LATIN-ROCK BAND TO GIVE CONCERT IN TURKEY.


ISTANBUL, Jun 27, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- A world-famous Latin-rock band will take stage in the Turkish city of Istanbul in July.

Carlos Santana and his band will give a concert at Istanbul's Turkcell Kurucesme Arena on July 6, the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts said on Friday.

Santana will be in Istanbul with his 32-people band, and perform their songs like "Black Magic Woman", ''Smooth'', ''Love Of My Life'', ''Oye Como Va'' and ''Ringo''.

This will be Santana's first concert in Istanbul in 20 years.

Santana is a band consisting of a flexible number of musicians accompanying Carlos Santana since the late 1960s.

The band was formed in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  in 1966. The first members were Carlos Santana (lead guitar), Tom Fraser Tom Fraser PC (18 February 1911 – 21 November 1988) was a Labour MP for the Hamilton constituency between 1943 and 1967[1]. He was Minister of Transport from October 16 1964 until December 23 1965.  (rhythm guitar), Mike Carabello (percussion), Rod Harper (drums & percussion), Gus Rodriguez (bass guitar) and Gregg Rolie (lead vocals & keyboards). In the following years the members of the group changed frequently for a number of reasons.
