Lief Bar and Restaurant, in Penny Lane, wants to serve punters until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. But angry neighbours, who fought a bitter battle with the venue's former management when it was called Alma de Santiago, will object to the plan. Lief opened in September and is the latest reincarnation of the former Doverdale Towers pub, which was turned into the swish Alma de Santiago, part of the Korova group.
