'Tis the season for holiday parties clubs, resorts create unique holiday programs for the whole family. On a December morning every year at Treesdale Golf and Country Club in Gibsonia, PA, kids have the opportunity to eat breakfast with Santa. "It seems to grow each and every year," said Pam Diethorn, member relations director. "We've been holding the event for the last 10 years, and last year's attendance was up to 450." As clubs try to reach out to younger members with small children, unique programs such as the Santa's Brunch are poised to eclipse the traditional notion of the old-fashioned member holiday party. At Treesdale--a ClubCorp club--the Santa's Brunch is part of a blended mix of holiday events. "We also have a member open house which is more of our traditional holiday party," Diethorn said. The Santa's Brunch is actually a seasonal twist on a weekly program that takes place throughout the year at Treesdale. "What we do is take our weekly Omelet Occasion, typically held on Sundays, and dress that up to make it more upscale," Diethorn said. "The event has become so popular that it now takes up the entire top floor."
