"DEFENSIVELY, we were all over the shop. We could not clear our lines. We couldn't pass from back to front. As I told the players, I can't remember the last time a team scored a quality goal against us.

That is probably the worst display defensively since I came to this football club. We struggled against Wolves for 15 minutes, but shook ourselves out of it, we gifted Birmingham City goals and, even last week, against Crystal Palace, we gave away a poor goal but were able to shake ourselves out of that.

There are no positives. None whatsoever.

I can't think of one. I felt sorry for Wayne Routledge. He must wonder what this is all about. We didn't get the ball down and we didn't pass it properly.

You need a base and we didn't have that today.

On Thursday I felt something wasn't quite right in training and maybe I should have changed and shaken it up.

But it was a good win against Palace and we played some good football.

Today I can't remember us getting the ball down and passing with any pace, any zip until the second half when we scored our goal."
