Best holiday you''ve ever had?

A gastronomy gastronomy

Art of selecting, preparing, serving, and enjoying fine food. Two early centres of gastronomy were China (from the 5th century BC) and Rome, the latter noted for the excess and ostentation of its banquets.
 fest I did to Mauritius in 2007 - food, sun, sand and deep sea fishing; I could not have asked for more!

Favourite thing in your home?

My kitchen (and my clothes, make-up, shoes and bags!) If you could have one luxury, what would it be?

Seafood, I can''t live without it. What are you working on at the moment?

Putting together an Indian menu for clients who have taken me on to host a curry evening.

Who or what is the love of your life?

My partner and our son.

Favourite shop?

Not one in particular, but I love little food markets that are dotted about in cities.

Favourite restaurant?

This is not fair! Too many to name - there are really good ones in the North East and beyond, where we have had fantastic food and enjoyed the experience.

Favourite pub?

None in particular, but I do love a good roast dinner.

What''s the last play or film you saw?

Not the most recent but I saw Hairspray - the Musical, and really loved it.

What book are you reading at the moment?

Sounds daft, but I quite enjoy a bit of reality TV, like Keeping up with the Kardhashians, just because you don''t have to think too much.

My work and my family.

Spending time with family and friends, and also when I''m talking about food.

Do you have any wisdom to share?

Celebrate who you are and what you do; Life will bring about varied challenges, so the least we can do is every now and then give ourselves credit for our achievements instead of waiting for someone else to do it for us.

What does the future hold?

The possibilities are endless; I just enjoy taking each day at a time.
