'The Trophy Wife Trap'.

I was pleased to read the quote from Jonathan Klein, CEO of Getty Images, in your April cover story ("The CEO Trap"): "You can be a god at the office, but at home you're just the schmuck who takes out the garbage."

Good for him! Unfortunately, many CEOs consider themselves to be gods at home, too. I'm the author of The Trophy Wife Trap and consult with women who are married to such CEOs. I help them deal with the often overwhelming dynamic of having bigger-than-life husbands. It can take a substantial amount of focus to restore these women's self-confidence so they can create a life that matters more than how they manage the next renovation on the ski house in Vail.

I've never met a chief executive who didn't spill the beans to me about the issues he has with his wife. But they often seem clueless as to how to make their spouses happy.
