SOME of the billions of pounds being spent on road building should go to planting millions of trees, providing new parks New Parks is an area in the city of Leicester, England. Greening towns and cities would help tackle climate change - by saving carbon, helping warming urban areas keep cool and reducing flood risk through greener roofs and spaces which absorb water.

Investment in green places would also create jobs and promote walking and cycling, they said.
