'SuperSabot' enters weapons market.


Brenneke, a German ammunition manufacturer, has introduced a sabot round for 12-gauge, rifled shotguns This is a list of shotguns. Shotguns fire pellets stored in large shells that are normally loaded into a chamber, one shell at a time. Each shell may contain as many as 200 pellets.  that the company claims is more accurate and powerful than other versions on the market.

A sabot is a lightweight carrier in which a subcaliber projectile a projectile having a smaller diameter than the caliber of the arm from which it is fired, and to which it is fitted by means of a sabot.

 the SuperSabot, features a 490-grain projectile that measures .63 inches in diameter. Once it hits the target and enters it, the round's brass exterior expands to one inch in diameter, explained Peter Mank, president of Brenneke.
