PBS provides its member stations, which are supported by public funds and private contributions rather than by commercials, with educational, cultural, member station. Andrea Conte Andrea Conte (b. 1941) is the First Lady of Tennessee, the wife of Governor Phil Bredesen (2003 - present). She is a 1968 graduate of the University of Washington and a registered nurse. and Sybril Bennett moderate the Nashville program, which follows Hedrick Smith's nationwide special.
