'School closure' shock for city teachers.

A BIRMINGHAM school is likely to close-and the first the staff knew about it was when two visitors called to tell them of a "takeover."

Now teachers are demanding to know the future of two schools which are rumoured to be closing this summer.

Education chiefs of closing St. Michael's R.C. Secondary School, Deritend, in July this year, rather than next year.

Mr. W. Dobbins. Head of St. Michael's. confirmed that staff first knew of the proposed closure when two representatives of Hall Green Technical College visited it and explained the school was to become an annexe an·nexe
